"Beauty" that the disappearing existence shows
I learned the tea ceremony for ten years in my twenties and thirties.At that time, I was living in Kansai, and I had the opportunity to perform the tea ceremony at Daitoku-ji Temple and the tea ceremony with Sotan's tea scoop.It is my best memory.It was a time when I was deeply touched by traditional Japanese culture and learned its spatial beauty and sense of color.My photographic work is also influenced by it,Colors are kept to a minimum.Instead of trying to express all the colors of the visible world,By narrowing down the expression to only the focused color,Rather, these days, I feel the joy of imagining colors in various ways.
The "beauty" shown by a vanishing presence
I studied tea ceremony for about 10 years in my 20s and 30s.
At the time, I was living in the Kansai region, and my fondest memories are of tea ceremonies at Daitokuji Temple, where I was able to perform the tea ceremony using Sodan's tea scoop.
It was a time when I was deeply exposed to traditional Japanese culture and learned its spatial beauty and sense of color.
Influenced by this, my photographic works are also reduced to the bare minimum of color.
Rather than attempting to incorporate all the colors of the visible world into my expression, I have focused my expression on only the colors that caught my attention.
I am rather enjoying the pleasure of imagining colors in a variety of ways.
