Miyabi is a Japanese word that expresses the profound sense of beauty that is unique to Japanese people, and is an expression of maintaining an elegant beauty.
Since the etymology of "miyabi" is derived from "miyabi", it seems to refer mainly to the elegance of court-style royalty and aristocracy (or simply Japanese style), but as Japanese literature scholar Donald Keane points out, The central feature of the Japanese concept of beauty lies in the unique sensibilities in which ``suggestion or emotion'', ``distortion or irregularity'', ``simplicity'', and ``easiness to perish'' are intricately related to each other. There is no mistake.
My photographic journey to explore the “Japanese elegant = MIYABI” that lies deep inside me continues today.
