私たちが大切にしていること
2019年に京都で開催された国際博物館会議ICOMに参加した、日本和紙写真協会の会長を務める写真家の田中伸明が、全裸の巨大和紙写真による屏風作品を、来場した150カ国の美術館・博物館に展示公開したことで、ロシアのオレンブルク美術館から大規模な和紙写真展覧会の招聘を正式に受けたことで、翌年の2020年に、副会長の小川卯人など複数の写真家や事務局スタッフによって、日本和紙写真協会が設立されました。ロシアのICOM所属のミュージアムとの国際文化交流を評価され、同年、田中伸明とその妻・増園有麿はICOMの個人会員になっています。
設立以来紆余曲折を経て、毎年着実に日本和紙写真協会は発展してきましたが、現在私たちが大事にしていることはこの４つです。

去年12月に着任した武藤顕駐ロシア大使が初めて記者会見し、現在中断している日ロ間の文化や人的な交流事業を再開する方針を明らかにしました。
「いずれ（ロシアとの）平和条約の締結は必須になります。領土問題を解決して平和条約を締結するという方針を堅持することは当然のことながら、そのためにもロシアとの対話を通じた相互理解を図ることが必要になると考えている」。
28日、モスクワの日本大使館で記者会見した武藤大使は、ウクライナとの戦闘の長期化を踏まえ隣国ロシアとの対話を通じた相互理解の必要性を強調しました。そのうえで特に文化交流や若者を中心とした人的交流が重要だとして、ロシア人の日本語教師を招いたり、日本文化を紹介する展示会や映画の上映など、中断している文化交流事業を再開する方針を明らかにしました。
※日本和紙写真協会は現在もロシアのオレンブルク美術館とは、有効的な関係を維持しており、ロシア国内での展覧会の継続を慎重に模索しています。

日本和紙写真協会の作品は、ロシアの公共美術館・博物館にて、３年間にも及ぶ大規模な展覧会が継続開催されています。
日本和紙写真協会のJapan Washigraph Exhibitionに出品された500点の作品は、オレンブルク美術館の手によってコレクションされ、ロシアICOMのネットワークの中でロシアの各都市のミュージアムとの関係は続いています。

世田谷美術館写真展開催のご案内
オールドレンジをきっかけに写真仲間になった二人（菊池邦子と岡村 泰三）がこの度、下記の日程で写真展を催す運びになりました。
両人とも旅好きであるのは言うに及ばず、私・岡村 はオールドレンズ専門店『NOCTO」をさせる2008年まで旅行ジャーナリストとして世界各地を歩き、とりわけ東南アジアの水辺に心惹かれて撮り溜めておりました。
そんな水辺の情景が人を惹きつける魅力の一端をこの機会にお伝えできればと存じます。

パリで美術を学び藤田嗣治などを支援した創業者から4代に渡り、日本とアートとファッションの作家とコレクターを繋いできた特別な存在であるアートサロンathalie様で、日本和紙写真協会の展覧会を開催して頂いたことは、日本和紙写真協会にとって大変名誉なことであり、これからの活動において大きなターニングポイントになったと思います。
平山寛子社長とスタッフの佐藤様と大橋様、そしてご縁を繋いで頂いたコーディネーターの明石久子さんには特別な感謝を捧げます。協会としては、作品の高額販売の記念すべき一歩を刻んだ意味も大きいです。

増園有麿の作品を大阪で常設展示販売を開催
増園有麿の作品が大阪に5月1日から常設展示・販売を開始したが、約半年間の期間開催させて頂きました。
会場の西区新町の和菓子のカフェギャラリーの西区新町の餅匠しづくさんに深く感謝いたします。
しづくさんは岸和田が本店、芦屋にも支店が存在。メニューは類を見ない洗練された餅菓子が中心で、総理大臣賞も受賞している。関西のアートシーンでは有名はお店。
アートを核にした神社復興のクラウドファンディング
滋賀県彦根市の写真家シアン・ニクレル（本名：島野修）の和紙写真を返礼品に設定した、彦根市井伊神社旧社殿修復クラウドファンディングですが、彦根市や商工会議所などへの説明が終わり、実際のクラウドファンディングの開始に向けて、準備中です。ご理解を賜った彦根市長など関係者のご協力に深く感謝いたします。

滋賀県彦根市の２校に作品寄贈
日本和紙写真協会のSian Nikuleru氏が滋賀県彦根市の市立城西小学校と市立西中学校へ、彦根市内の井伊神社の桜を撮影した額装されたA全サイズのWashigraphPhoto作品を寄贈しました。
この寄贈は、Sian Nikuleru氏（本名：島野 修）が同校の学校歯科医を長年務めていたご縁によるものです。
