私が撮影している写真作品のモチーフは植物だけ。出荷出来なかった不格好な野菜、公園や道路脇で拾った葉っぱ、南の島で拾った枯れ草や木の実など。

それらはどんな状態であっても、凛とした力強い生命力が存在しています。

そして老衰して息たえた植物には、人間と同じように「生き物としての美しさ」が満ちていて、私を虜にしています。

私にとって、写真の作品制作は、洋服作りと同じ。自分のサイズに合わせて、着ては縫う作業を繰り返し、着ごごちの良い服を目指します。​写真もそんな感じ。

The only motifs in my photographic work are plants.

Unshapely vegetables that could not be shipped, leaves picked up in parks or by the side of the road, dead grass and nuts picked up on southern islands.

Whatever their condition, they have a dignified and powerful life force.

And the plants that have died of old age are full of beauty as living creatures, just like human beings, and fascinate me.

For me, creating photographic works is like making clothes.

I try to make clothes that are comfortable to wear by repeatedly fitting them to my size and sewing them.Photography is like that.
